Possum is my current favourite, she's a roan/husky which means she has husky markings
along her back but it will get progressivly lighter as she gets older. She also has a rex coat
which means her fur and whiskers are curly! She loves cuddles and sitting on my shoulder or
curling up in my hair, and once settled she'll quite happily stay there for over an hour. she
also is very easy to handle, loves playing around in water.
She has also earned the nickname Doobie due to always looking constantly stoned.

Rosetta is from the same litter as Possum, she has a rex coat as well.
She's very cheeky and always bouncing around the cage and causing mischief. She is very
photogenic, as you can see from her picture! She's very easy to handle but has alot of energy
and will not stay on my shoulders for more than a few seconds. She loves her food and I can definetly
see i'll have to be careful with giving her too much treats or she'll become a real fat rat!

Named as a tribute to Firefly, Serenity was a late adoption from Possum and Rosetta's
litter. I paid £10 each for Possum and Rosetta but since I had become friends with the girls
running the rat rescue they let me have Serenity for free. She was originally called Snap but I
felt this didn't suit her calm nature so i renamed her Serenity. She's just as cuddly as Possum
and both will quite happily sit on my shoulders whilst I sit at my laptop or watch tv.
Lately she has really been proving how much of a delicate lady she is, the most recent of which was
her cupping her paws into a water bowl and drinking from her paws!

As soon as I got Tasmania, the first thing I thought was Tasmanian Devil, hense her name. She was from
a petshop in Carlisle bought on christmas eve. I was having a look and she was sat ontop of the
waterbottle and when I put my fingers through she just held them and sniffed at my fingers!
The pet shop assistant said they were 6 to 8 weeks old, but after I took her home one of my friends
said she looked more like 4 weeks old!
She's a bundle of energy and totally sweet natured!

Henna was so named due to being so closely patterned to Inky (RIP), and was named in tribute
(aka Henna Ink). She was adopted after my friend got stuck with 2 lots of accidental litters and
she was part of the second litter. I took her in along with her sister Trinity.
She is rather skittish in nature but is warming up to me with each day.

Trinity is Henna's sister, and as it has turned out, the most outgoing of the remaining litter.
She loves running around in their wheel and was the first of the babies to warm up to me. She was
named because of the 3 spots on her back.
The Boys
The boys are currently kept in a Pet Inn cage, suitable for 2 rats.
This is a temporary cage and they will move into my Ferplast Plus (Suitable for 4 rats)
when it has freed up. At the moment it is housing my boyfriend's 4 girls.

Origin: Gumtree adoption

Boota was a gumtree adoption, he was going free with his cage, unknown age but i guessed he was
around 1.5 to 2 years old. His previous owners fed him nothing but fast food and his cagemate died
of liver failure. He is the sweetest fat squish of a rat you'll ever meet, he's never even thought
about biting anyone even another rat, he can be a bit skittish in the cage but very cuddly when out.

Simon was the last rat left from the first accidental litter (Henna and Trinity are from the 2nd litter).
He was supposed to be finding a new home, but his rexxy coat won me over, and i decided to adopt him
myself as a cagemate for Boota.
